white gold rings?

I bought a white gold ring 3 weeks ago, ive just noticed half of the surface has rubbed away. Im wearing it with a 9 carat gold wedding band. The white gold ring is 9 carat as well. Is there any chance my gold wedding band has damaged the ring? Should i buy a white gold wedding band instead? Is it common to have the rings rubbing together and maybe lifts the white plating off?

My husband found an old three stone gold ring in the ocean. How do we find out how much it is worth?

He found it in the Florida Keys over 15 years ago. It looks very very old and almost like it was handmade. It’s marked as 18 kt, and has three stones. One is emerald-looking, one is (I’m guessing) either crystal, or diamond. The third is a dark stone… maybe dark green, almost black. Not sure what it is. Hubby thinks it might be “treasure”.
